Account and data deletion

Delete your account.

You can delete your Bowler's Palace account and everything stored in it at any time, from inside the app. It takes one step, it is permanent, and we do not keep a backup copy for you.

From inside the app

Open Bowler's Palace, go to the Profile tab, and choose Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm. Once you do, the deletion happens immediately — there is no waiting period and nothing to cancel.

If you cannot sign in

Email justinhoward@howardits.com from the address on the account, or tell us what that address is. We will confirm it belongs to you before deleting anything, and we aim to complete the deletion within 30 days of the request.

We ask you to write from the account address because the alternative is deleting someone's bowling history on the word of a stranger.

What gets deleted

Everything tied to your account, on our servers and on the device you delete from: your profile and email address, every session, game, and frame you have recorded, your Arsenal and its notes, bag plans, game notes, any support messages you sent us, and the product events that tell us how the app is used.

Your sign-in itself goes too, including any Apple or Google connection. The account stops existing rather than being deactivated.

What is not deleted, and why

Crash and error diagnostics are not removed, because they are not linked to your account. Reports are grouped by a random per-install identifier that is never connected to your identity, so there is no way for us to tell which reports were yours. They are retained for 90 days and then discarded.

If you have another copy of the app signed in on a second device, deleting the account removes the cloud copy and the local copy on the device you used. Open the app on the other device once and it will sign you out.
